PE Practitioner Training at Chiang Mai University Feb 15 to 26, 2016: Registration Still Possible

An introductory course in Participatory Epidemiology (PE) for Practitioners is being offered at Chiang Mai University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine from Feb 15 to 26, 2016 in two sessions. The course will be offered as part of the Global Health Institute (GHI) – Thailand 2016. The GHI Research Conference will be held from Feb 19th to 21st. The course will provide hands-on training in participatory methods in epidemiology and cover One Health and animal health applications. The Introductory Session will run from Feb 15th to 18th and the Practical Field Session will run from Feb 22nd to 26th. The field practice will investigate a recent trans-boundary disease outbreak in the area.

Registration is open to all interested persons. Only those who complete the Introductory Session are eligible for the Practical Field Session. Participants who complete both sessions can go on to obtain a PE Practitioner Certifcate from the Participatory Epidemiology Network for Animal and Public Health.

Note that late registrations for the PE course are accepted. Course fees are 200 USD per person per course (175 USD for students).
